YOUTH MISSION TRIP TO THE SAN CARLOS APACHE RESERVATION

In June 2009, students involved in the dv8 Student Ministries went on a Youth Mission Trip to the San Carlos Apache Reservation in Arizona which is one of the poorest reservations in the nation with an extremely high unemployment rate.  Less than 10% of the people claim to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. -- their only answer to the hopelessness surrounding them.

Through AIM (Adventures in Missions), the team partnerned with Duane and Susie Styx and Jamie Whitfield of First Nations Ministries to bring the hope of Jesus to the San Carlos Apache people. Working right alongside Duane, Susie and Jamie, they helped disciple their youth group teens and their families through youth events and services, dinners, game nights, video game times in the youth center, and by just hanging out sharing lives.
